There is a lot that goes into planning a wedding, but there are a lot of tips and tricks to ease your planning process and just make certain aspects of it a lot easier!

  1. Make a separate email account for wedding-related emails. This will organize your RSVPs, vendors, and the nitty-gritty details all in one place. Let’s not forget about not worrying about it filling your actual email account when it’s all said and done.
  2. It’s smart to number your RSVP cards. That way if you get any illegible handwriting on an RSVP, you’ll have it documented, and you’ll know who is coming! Surprising, there’s a handful of guests that forget to write in their name so you’ll know based on the RSVP number, exactly who sent that mystery RSVP.
  3. If you have an outdoor wedding, stock up on veil weights! This will keep your veil in place during the day and especially during photos!
  4. Kids can either be a hit or miss at a wedding. If you’re a good sport and just laugh off any loud kids, then props to you! But just remember that kids don’t like to sit and be quiet for long, especially if they sense a videographer. To help prevent any undesirable children’s behaviors on your wedding video, keep the kids occupied throughout the ceremony with kid’s boxes or favors.

  1. A personalized return address stamp will save you from writing out your address over and over again. You can find these all over Etsy!
  2. Having a photo booth can double as a fun and memorable thing to do, but also as wedding favors! Instead of purchasing both, just rent a photo booth for a few hours for your guests to enjoy and keep the photos!

  1. Have an off-season wedding! The off-season includes November, January, and March. Vendors and venues are always a lot cheaper and more available during these months considering there aren’t a lot of weddings going on. You’ll get more bang for your buck and more availability!
  2. Invest in a glue stick. Imagine inviting 500 people to your wedding and having to lick all of those invitations shut! It’s just better overall to glue them shut and save your tongue.
  3. Want an easier way to create that seating chart and tired of all those scribbles for changes? Save yourself the time and trouble and use sticky tabs on a large poster board to organize your table settings! You can rearrange seamlessly as well as get an overall idea of what your venue is going to look like. This is also a great idea for last minute cancellations or any changes that may come your way.
  4. Use your makeup trial wisely! If you’re going to spend money on a trial just to run errands after, don’t bother! Plan your makeup trial the same day as your engagement shoot or a boudoir shoot! You’ll be all glammed up and looking flawless for your photos!
