If you’re one of the happy couples hosting a winter wedding, we’ve got some beautiful décor ideas you just might want to incorporate in your wedding design. Let us know what you think of these:

White…everything. ‘Tis the season to embrace a white wedding. Picture fluffy bouquets and centerpieces full of white hydrangea and blooming white roses, white twinkle lights draped from the ceiling like falling snow, white baby’s breath in your hair like loose snowflakes, and white furry muffs covering your attendants’ hands in photos. So beautiful!

Fresh greenery. Any winter wedding will look perfect for the season with greenery accents. Wrap your ceremony arbor with willow branches and pine boughs, decorate your reception tables with long, lush runners of ivy accented with holly, be sure your florist includes springs of richly-scented greenery in your personal floral, and if you celebrate Christmas, have a decorated tree!

Candles. Candles have long been associated with winter and the holidays. Before the days of twinkle lights, Christmas trees were decorated with candles, and there are candles on the menorah to celebrate Hanukkah. Bring in the festive feeling and enhance your décor with candles everywhere you can fit them.

Wood. Winter inspires images of bare trees, so bring the outside indoors by incorporating pine cones, tree branches, and tree cuttings in your décor. You can think outside of centerpieces and use these touches in places like your ceremony aisle chairs, your sweetheart table, your cake table, and your gift table, too.

Berries. Bring in some beautiful winter hues by including berries in your décor. Holly berries, cranberries, juniper berries, and hypericum berries all come in shades of red and green, very popular in winter weddings!

Glitter. Your guests will feel like they’ve stepped into a Winter Wonderland if your décor elements have the added touch of glitter. It will feel like there has just been a fresh snowfall!

Cinnamon. This might seem like an odd décor element to mention, but cinnamon is a popular spice in the winter time. Why not build a theme around it? Have your attendants wear cinnamon colored gown and ties, offer a hot beverage stand with cinnamon sticks as a garnish, place cinnamon in your centerpieces for visual interest and a delicious aroma, and incorporate the spice in your menu and cake. Guests will feel like they’ve come home for the holidays!
