Where to go? What to do?

Honeymoons are the golden ticket to ultimate relaxation after the hustle and bustle and get away from all the stress they may have encountered from planning a wedding. The honeymoon is a vacation spent together by a newly-married couple, where they go anywhere they want to, for as long as they want to and embrace the love they have for each other.

If you’re planning a wedding, you are probably already accustomed to dealing with a seemingly endless list of choices. The honeymoon is the last wedding-related choice you should have to make, so make it count!

When it comes to booking your all-important honeymoon, the advantages of working with a travel agent are infinite. Agents can offer you the benefit of their globetrotting experiences; inside lines to discounts not widely advertised; package deals and a range of itinerary options; one-stop shopping for flight, car, and hotel reservations; and, most importantly—peace of mind.

Before you decide on a location, talk with your fiancé about your budget. What are you willing to spend on a vacation? Can you afford four nights? Ten nights?

What about an active getaway full of outdoor adventures?

But maybe you’re in need of expansive beaches and lots of sunbathing.

Think of this:

  • Do you need beaches? If the answer is yes, you already narrowed down your options. Same for if the answer is no.
  • Are you thinking all-inclusive resort or more like a Bed and Breakfast?
  • Do you want nightlife or a remote location tucked away deep in the mountains?
  • Are outdoor adventures necessary, or would you rather relax the entire time?

As you answer all of these questions, you can quickly start to imagine where you want to be almost instantly.

It’s impossible to imagine laying on the beach sipping sangrias with your new husband or wife thinking, “Man, we should have gone somewhere else.” It’s all about preferences and what you want to do together. Just remember that this choice is mutual and you both should be happy, but hopefully are on the same page when it comes to the location you’re wanting.
