Sonning Flowers decorated the bannister with foliage from top to bottom and placed gold-hammered pots filled with a combination of stylish blooms and feathers on every other step.

With a glamorous country house theme in mind the most important visual scenes of the day were kept in mind – from the emotion captured as the bride is walking down the grand stair case in to the wedding ceremony room, to the elegantly styled reception tables, offering a view across the beautifully manicured lawns and gardens.
The wedding ceremony was styled using a new floral moon arch, contributed by Sonning Flowers; a perfect floral backdrop for a wedding indoors and out. Ice Chiavari chairs were enhanced with chestnut coloured sashes and large hurricane lanterns available to hire from from Bijou completed the style.

Glittering rose gold table cloths sparkled within the grand and spacious Music Room where both wedding ceremonies and receptions are held. Disney inspired table place cards were used along side crystal decanters filled with pretty stems and gold table numbers. Larger floral arrangement centrepieces styled by Sonning Flowers featured feathers from a pheasant; an unusual yet perfectly fitting accessory for a country house wedding theme.
Grey coloured church candles perched on chunky candle holders surrounded by strands of elegant pearls looked sensational and with the release of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast we thought to fill old silver tea and coffee pots with pretty florals, stood along side glass candle sticks for a little fairytale magic. A vintage table set up featuring roses in old vintage tea cups and candles on mirrored trays looked divine, placed on top of a glamorous lace table runner.
Silchester House
Silchester House is situated on the Berkshire-Hampshire border and is only available to hire on a 24-hour exclusive use basis. It is licensed for wedding ceremonies both inside and out and offers a total of 14 guest bedrooms, impeccable grounds and a delightful swimming pool – ideal for summer wedding celebrations. Bijou Weddings provide couples with access to a propriety online wedding planner and invite wedding planning couples to a menu tasting ahead of their special day, prepared by Bijou’s in-house team of expert chefs. The team at Bijou are meticulous about ensuring that the service and communication is none other than perfect, from an initial brochure enquiry though to the moment the married couple, their friends and family depart the venue the morning after the wedding.
