It Was Written In The Stars…

Alex and Shannon’s wedding was cute and quirky and their wedding story was shared with us by their wedding coordinator Rebecca Lang of Live Love Laugh Events in our Orlando Perfect Wedding Guide market.

Here’s what Rebecca had to say about this couple’s wedding:

Alex and Shannon came by referral from one of our favorite venues. After our first phone call, I couldn’t wait to coordinate their big day.

I discovered that they have been together forever and have been engaged for almost as long. So cute! So it totally made sense to why they were relaxed about everything!

Even when they had to cancel their original venue due to zoning issues. At one point, I told them that they were scaring me with how calm they were with everything.

When Alex, Shannon and I connected they had the majority of their vendors confirmed, including a new venue!

Their colors were a rich purple and white. Shannon wore a gorgeous A-line open back satin dress with a beaded bodice and matching straps. The bridesmaids wore rich purple long chiffon dresses with different styles to fit their body type.

Alex and the groomsmen all wore charcoal tuxes. Alex kept with a white vest and white tie underneath his tux, while the men went with a purple vest and tie option to match the bridesmaids.

On the wedding day, Shannon and her girls got ready at the stunning estate in their comfy bridesmaid pajamas. Shannon checked off all of her traditions with her grandmother’s blue rosary, mother’s old veil, a bracelet borrowed from her mother-in-law, and a pair of sweet new custom-drawn Tom’s.

Alex surprised Shannon with a stunning pearl necklace and earring set from Brilliant Earth, and a constellation map of their wedding day. Come to find out that Shannon ended surprising Alex with the same constellation gift of the day of their first date, the day he proposed and their wedding day! How stinkin’ cute is that?

Alex and Shannon had their ceremony at Saint Stephen’s Catholic Church in Winter Springs, Florida, where Shannon had been attending mass all her life.

Keeping it traditional was super important to Shannon and Alex, but they DID want to at least sneak in a first touch. We found a semi-hidden area behind some bushes and trees and brought these two together to touch, if only for a moment, before their ceremony. They chose to exchange sweet letters to each other.

Alex and Shannon’s main goal for the wedding day was for all their guest to sit back and enjoy their labor of love.

Towards the end of the night, Alex and Shannon wanted treats set out. Not for the guests, but for the guests’ furry babies! Little boxes of cat and dog food! Oh did I not mention that Shannon received her doctorate as a veterinarian right before we met? Yes, that is Dr. Shannon!

It was absolutely perfect including the very sparkly exit!
