Jet-Setting Wedding in Minnesota…

Music teacher, Christie and flight instructor, Stephen, met online when they both moved to Vero Beach, FL for their respective jobs. “Vero Beach has this small town charm in a tropical paradise where its population is majority senior citizens and snow birds. They told us the dating scene for our age was slim to none. That helped motivate us each to try the online dating scene. After a month, we found each other’s profile and then the messages went flowing back and forth. Our first date was at the beach walking along the shore, talking until the sun set. It was all too perfect, almost unbelievable, but here it was happening right before our eyes – love.”

 

After deciding to have their wedding in Minnesota, they found McNamara Alumni Center and it fit their dream perfectly. Since Stephen recently became an airline pilot, they wanted to incorporate that into their day. They used boarding passes as place cards, airport codes as table numbers and little suitcases filled with luggage tags and Biscoff cookies (“the airline cookie”) to be picked up from baggage claim as party favors.
