Location: The Refuge Golf Club, Minnesota

Natural. Romantic. Rustic. Stephanie & Dylan’s wedding embodied these three things. All aspects seemed to flow seamlessly, from the gorgeous draping on the altar, to the gold chargers surrounded by eucalyptus leaves and to all the lovely details put into the reception. Most of their wedding was even DIY. They made their flower arrangements themselves with Calla Lilies, Hydrangeas, white Roses, Baby’s Breath and Eucalyptus leaves.

Stephanie recalls her decorations, “We decorated our ceremony by draping a “latte” colored fabric over the altar site and then draped a eucalyptus leaves garland over top. We lined the aisle with shepherd’s hook and mason jars filled with baby’s breath. We decorated the tables for the reception with cream lanterns on top of wooden slabs and 3 gold votives/candles around. Each guest’s spot had a gold chargers and eucalyptus leaves on next to the name cards. A strand of eucalyptus leaves were also around each lantern. We set up a candy buffet table at the reception and decorated the fireplace with a large “D & S” letters. We also surrounded the fireplace with candles and lanterns to match the tables.”

“I did have a specific theme/style I visioned for my wedding. I loved the idea of keeping everything neutral and sharp with beautiful greenery throughout the wedding. My bridesmaid dresses were a “latte” color to match the under layer of my dress. The groomsmen were in navy with Latte vests and bowties to match the girls. Our flowers were made up of white roses, Calla lilies, Hydrangeas, baby’s breath and eucalyptus leaves. We did incorporate religious traditions into our wedding such as “A cord of 3 strands.” We wrote our own vows which ended up being a favorite part of my day!”

Advice from the bride, “Soak in every moment. When moments start getting stressful/overwhelming (which will happen no matter what) just remember what is important- that you are marrying the man/woman of your dreams. One piece of advice I got from a friend (which I am so glad I did) was to take a moment after you get married and you walk out of the ceremony to stop and look at your guests. Everyone is cheering for you and celebrating your love and it is the most beautiful moment you can imagine!”
