One Fine Day…

Today wraps up our Perfect Wedding Guide behind the scenes look into New York Bridal Fashion Week.

It has been fun having ‘correspondents’ on the ground taking us on their journey to meet with designers and look for new gowns and accessories for their bridal salon.

A big thank you to Orlando Perfect Wedding Guide vendors Tali and Roberta of The Bridal Finery for taking us along on their journey… but they’re not done yet!

On their last day, they went to the One Fine Day Bridal Market. The market is a large photography studio located in Chelsea.

This is where a group of international designers teams up under one roof to present their collections to the US market of bridal boutiques. Most of the designers are from Australia and London. There are a few US designers there as well.

The designers represented are all new or independent companies. We love seeing the new perspectives on bridal fashion.

The market includes shoes, wedding dresses, bridal lingerie, veils, jewelry, and bridal gifts.

This is from designer Kate McDonald, Kate is a new designer from Charleston, South Carolina. They found unique laces and brocade details on slim A-line dresses. The slim A-line silhouette continues to be a growing trend from Spring 2019 and moving into the Fall 2019 pieces.

During their walkthrough, they found designer A.B. Ellie. Tali and Roberta were on the search for an alternative, edgy jewelry line; something less traditional. When they met the design team at Ellie, they were wowed by the custom options and how they are made in Minnesota. The materials she uses include clear crystals, gold plating, freshwater pearls, and textured organza fabrics.

We loved the pieces so much we purchased some personal items to wear around the boutique while we are helping brides.

It sounds like Tali and Roberta had a fantastic last day meeting with new up and comers in the wedding industry.
