A Head Over Heels Blog Series by Josey Stafford

A day filled with October sunshine, music, and oh so much love. It’s hard to scroll quickly through the adorable details of this wedding day. Like the cutest ring bearer to ever wear a bow tie and suspenders. Bridal portraits that are utterly pinnable. Even the head table will make you rethink how you can make your wedding all yours.

We can thank Melanie with Mahonen Photography for the eye candy!

Yes. That is the ring bearer wearing brown suspenders, a navy button down and a matching bowtie. Don’t forget those dapper shoes and argyle socks! Not all kiddos will be up to wearing the accessories you pick for them, think floral crowns and clip on ties. Make sure you get at least a few photos of them dressing like adults before they tear off… giggling naked and wild.

Grand marches – you know the part right before the reception starts officially, where the DJ announces either just the newly married couple or them + the bridal party, into the reception room. Believe it or not this is a source of anxiety for your wedding party. So far they’ve been in the background but as they enter that ballroom they are about to be in the spotlight. Give your guys and gals a heads up, like at the rehearsal, so they can prepare something. And one great idea? Piggy back rides! Especially groomsmen to groomsmen, since a dress will make it unladylike for ladies.
