KAYLA + SAM
An afternoon garden tea party
with an eclectic mix of details…

Kayla says it was Sam’s “dreamy English accent” that first won her over, the couple met while he was working abroad in the bride’s hometown of Minneapolis and they just clicked! Sam produced a ring from his pocket and proposed to Kayla on Hampstead Heath, a place they’ve lived close to for three years and both love, making it truly special!
Kayla found her dream dress at a Jenny Packham sample sale in Central London. The silk, deep v, feathered strapped gown was actually two sizes too big, but Kayla loved it and felt great in it. “It was significantly reduced,” she says. “I paid £550 and alterations were another £300 on top. I loved it – it felt like ‘me’.” She added a bracelet from her mum, made from her late grandmother’s pearls, her other grandmother’s pearl earrings and her trusty pair of Zara heels that the bride knew she could run miles in.”
The groom wore a slim fit navy blue suit with a white shirt and red tie while Kayla’s sister, and only maid, wore a pale pink dress she picked up in California. A traditional garden party followed the religious ceremony, and they kept decorations simple. They hung tea lights and played old records, adding lanterns when it got dark.
