The Perfect Wedding Guide’s 10K WINNERS are back to share their engagement story with us and we couldn’t be more excited! We got to know more about Ray & Eric on a personal level in our blog, Q&A with the 10k: PWG Sweethearts. Today we will dive a little deeper into their love story as they share how Eric popped the big question!
Eric and I were together for a little over 3 years when he popped the question. We frequently go to brunch as it’s one of our favorite weekend activities.
We went to a great restaurant overlooking the city on a Sunday morning and after brunch we walked over to look at the city since it was a nice day.
After we stood there for a little bit he gave me a hug and said “I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”, to which I replied “Aw, that’s sweet.” I didn’t realize he was getting ready to propose, I just thought he was being sweet.
Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes! We also had plans to go to Findlay Market after brunch to do our grocery shopping, so we went and did our grocery shopping then started calling our friends and family.
The most planned portion of the whole thing was everyone making sure my nails were done. Eric helped pick my nail color for the week, which is typical when I can’t decide.
My friend and bridesmaid Rebecca texted me about wanting to buy new colors of nail polish and asked what if I’d done mine in a cute color recently with pictures to show. So when you see the blue nail polish, that was everyone else’s doing – I had NO CLUE.
