This scavenger hunt started out as just a friendly, fun game and ended with lots of love!
We’re so excited that Casey decided to share her and Bernie’s love story with us. Here is this very real and loving proposal in her own words:
“December 15, 2018. I woke up to breakfast in bed and my favorite Christmas movie, The Holiday. At 1pm he said I had to be ready for a surprise as my early Christmas present.
As I was rushing to get ready and find my shoes, my girl friend snuck in the house to grab me and say we’re going to manicures as a girls day surprise from Bernie. We went for manicures and mimosas when she gave me my first clue. Each clue led me to one of my immediate family members (none of which live here) and finally to my dad who blind folded me.
They put me in the car and drove me to my next spot. My dad walked me out of the car and I could hear “marry me” by Train playing. He removed my blindfold and Bernie was down on his knee, on top of an I4 bridge deck he’s building, with the most gorgeous ring I’ve seen, asking me to marry him (swooning).
To capture the moment, he had a friend flying a drone. After the proposal, Bernie and I had a catered dinner and champagne by John Micheals catering while dancing to a proposal playlist he created.
This man thought of EVERY DETAIL and I can’t wait to spend my life with him.”
