It’s far from uncommon for a couple to get engaged and go through the traditional wedding planning process while already have had been living with their significant other for some time now. Maybe there are kids thrown into the mix! Regardless, your home is probably stocked with everything you need because you’ve been living day-to-day with those things! But who doesn’t want to miss out on the joys of registering? Here are some things that you can register for, even though you’ve already got it all.

Upgrades

Walk around your house and make a list of all the things you have had for years now and could simply just use an upgrade or replacement of. Let’s take towels for example; there is nothing greater than a soft big blanket towel to curl up into after you get out of the shower. If your towels are old and dingy, register for some new ones! Or what about those baking sheets that are just ready to be thrown away? There’s another thing to add to your list! Just go through each room and look for items that you wouldn’t mind replacing!

Honeymoon

We hope you’re still planning on your dream honeymoon, aka the best way to end all your wedding hard work. Most travel agents will offer a registry option for your friends and family to donate to your honeymoon fund rather than a traditional gift or cash card. This is an exciting way to register, especially if you don’t have anything to register for.

Things Outside of Your Home

Take this part outdoors! There are a lot of outdoorsy couples who live together and fill their registry with hiking gear, camping must-haves, and all sorts of adventuresome items. If you’re into something like that, there is no harm in registering for them! Bike racks, kayaks, tents, and even upgraded luggage pieces are all great alternatives.

High-Tech Kitchen Items You Don’t Have

This is the fun part of registering especially if you’re saving your guests money by not having to buy pots, pans, bedding, etc. Think of a kitchen item that you’ve been wanting for forever but it’s just out of reach financially? Put it on your registry! A fancy new chefs knife set, SodaStream Jet, Keurigs, fancy food processors and blenders, indoor grills, or whatever else your heart desires! There are benefits of registering and already having the basics.

Personalized Items

Lastly, think about items that are personal to spruce up your home! Decor items are always a fun thing to open at your bridal shower, especially when they’re personalized for your new name together. This is another great alternative for your registry when you can’t think of anything to register for.
