There are many simple options like a simple folded card standing up with calligraphic handwriting which is BEAUTIFUL, but there are a billion other ways to seat your guest.
Start with your theme.
If you’re having a garden themed wedding, have a calligrapher write on magnolia leaves or use little potted plants with a stem holding a place card.

Corks are often used at Winery weddings. It’s also an easy DIY project to cut off one side of the cork to create a flat edge. Then cut a slit in to hold the escort card. A collection of corks also makes a tasteful addition to your welcome table.

One of my favorite place cards that I have seen is small squares of wood with your guest’s names on them that triple use as coasters, name place cards, as well wedding favors for your guests to take home a personalized gift.

Try thinking of an object that represents your theme such as sea shells, wine corks, or mini gold antlers and incorporates those items into your wedding as a place card holder. These vital pieces will make your guests feel thought of and would love to be able to keep it when they leave. Win-win for everyone!
