In honor of Winter Soltice today, we wanted to put together the perfect bucket list for your and your SO to do this winter. If you’re ready to bundle up and head outside, then let’s get started!

Winter Bucket List for Couples

1. Go Christmas Light Driving
Whether it be a drive through your neighborhood or one to a nearby local hotspot, checking out Christmas lights is a perfect date night activity. Hold hands while your sweetie drives you around. Oh and don’t forget the holiday music!

2. Snowtubing
Live near a snowy mountain or hill? Pull out those inner tubes from the Summer and race down the side. Don’t live near a hill or mountain? Find a local spot that offers it. If they offer larger tubes to slide down on, grab your SO and sit together as you ride down the hill.

3. Sip Hot Cocoa at a Local Attraction
Here in Atlanta, we have SkyView, which is a newly built year-round ferris wheel that overlooks Centennial Olympic Park. Some attractions may offer the warm beverage as a perk while you ride, otherwise see if they allow you to bring your own thermos. The two of you can cozy up and drink hot cocoa as you take in your city’s view.

4. Ice Skating
Now I’m not talking about an indoor skating rink that is open all the time. I’m referring to the pop-up ones that open up around the holidays. Although if you’re reading this and live in NYC, then by all means head over to Rockefeller Center and ice skate beneath the Christmas tree. For those in other cities, grab your partner and skate around the rink. Unless you’re a pro figure skater, the two of you will be helping each other out. Which is the perfect bonding experience, plus requires a lot of hand holding.

5. Go Skiing or Snowboarding
Never been before? No worries, now is a great time to learn. You and your SO can take skiing or snowboarding lessons together. Head up to the nearest ski lodge, rent a room, and spend the day learning something new. Then you can go back to your room and complete #6 on the list.

6. Cozy up by the Fireplace
We’ve seen it in a lot of chick flicks, where a couple bundle up in front of a beautiful fireplace and just talk. Now is the time to make that scene a reality. If you don’t want to spend hours talking, then pop-in your favorite movie and sip some wine while snuggled up in each others arms.

7. Make a Gingerbread House
Whether you want to build the house from scratch by baking or purchase a gingerbread kit from the store, either will keep you both occupied for a good portion of the day. Once you’ve built the house, enjoy it for a day and then eat it piece by piece.

8. Build a Snowman
Throw on that winter coat and go outside to build a snowman together. Want an extra challenge? Build several snowmen and have your family and friends pick the best one.

9. Have a Pajama Day
With the cold weather and snow outside, we recommend staying in your PJs all day and just relaxing. Pop-in holiday movies and just stay cuddled up with your partner for the day.

10. Eat Breakfast for Dinner
Nothing goes better with cold weather than warm pancakes or waffles. When dinner time rolls around whip up some flapjacks, eggs and bacon and sip coffee or hot cocoa while you dine in.

11. Buy Tickets to the Nutcracker
Whether it is at your local theater or you decide to make it a weekend getaway, purchase tickets to go see the Nutcracker on broadway. Trust me, you will not regret the idea.

12. Take a Sleigh Ride
Check out your local city webpage to find where you can take a sleigh ride around town or through a local park. Dress warmly and bring a blanket that the two of you can bundle up under.

13. Enjoy a White Christmas in a Cozy Cabin
Don’t have a family planned Christmas this year? Consider renting a cabin in the mountains so you and your partner can cozy up and watch the snow fall. Talk about total romance!

Now that you’ve got your bucket list sorted out, download your copy of this Winter Bucket List to carry with you. As you complete an item, mark it off the list.

Happy Bucket Listing!
