Bachelorette Party Gone Wrong…

Sorry, Monday might be too early in the week to share this.

I’ve only had one cup of coffee, so my head is ready to explode. I’ve been reading articles online about “Sarah’s Bachelorette Party,” and we need to talk.

It seems that ‘Sarah” texted her bridal party after her bachelorette party and sent them each an invoice. Someone in her wedding party anonymously shared the invoice with an online news source, and it’s gone viral

The invoice included pizza, broken down to $11.74 per person, and honeydew melon split seven ways or about .36 cents per person. Popcorn, lemonade, cotton candy, and cupcakes all made the list too. She also included décor $5 plates, a pool tutu and a $7.67 “kiss frame.” The bill for each of the seven bridesmaids was $23.81.

OK, it was cheap, but it’s all about the principle.

The party was BYOB, but the price also included paying for the alcohol the bride bought for herself.

This is so wrong I don’t know where to start first. Our first thought would be that brides (or grooms) don’t plan their own bachelorette (or bachelor) party.

That’s the job of the Maid of Honor (or best man/ honor attendant); if they are overwhelmed with other things, it’s ok for the wedding party to come together and plan everything.

They, as a team should come up with a plan and create the party and if they are on a limited budget, it’s OK to plan something fun but within their budget.

I guess I’m just blown away by the fact that it seems like no one knew anything about paying for the party until after it happened, and then they got the invoice by text. Really?

If you were in her wedding party, what would you do?
