Winter weddings have always been so endearing and out of the ordinary. There’s just something about them that makes you take a second glance and feel all sorts of warm and fuzzy inside! We wanted this shoot to have a mix of winter-y coziness with a modern industrial feel to it, so the color palette was inspired by a snow-covered forest with greens, browns, grays and white and a new venue, The Hudson, Wichita’s newest wedding venue, that brought about the perfect element of vintage and modern.
Our tablescape featured an abundance of winter greenery-evergreen, thistles, berries and even pheasant feathers, and plethra of golden candlesticks to emit a warm fireside glow.
With a cake made of cinnamon rolls and dripping with cream cheese frosting showcased by the vintage stereo cabinet, it was hard not to take a bite right then and there!
The whiskey + cigar bar with its vintage feel makes you want to sit and stay a while, enjoying a cigar or feel the whiskey’s warmth run down your throat after that first sip.
The bride wore a long sleeve lace & chiffon gown designed by Lillian West and an original fur shawl that was my grandmother’s.
