Weddings at Leeds Castle in Kent

Set amongst 500 acres of beautiful Kentish parkland and formal gardens, Leeds Castle offers a number of exquisite locations for both indoor and outdoor celebrations. Up to 100 guests are welcome to witness wedding ceremonies within the Castle, taking place in the elegant Ceremony Room adjoining the book-lined Library, ideal for champagne drinks receptions.

A banquet-style wedding breakfast is served in the largest room in the Castle, the Henry VIII Banqueting Hall, with impressive views across the moat. After dinner, guests are invited to dance the night away in the Heraldry Room or relax in the opulent 1920s Drawing Rooms, before staying overnight in one of the luxurious state bedrooms.

Adjacent to the Castle sits the Maiden’s Tower, a 16th century stone building and garden, ideal for your nuptials and evening celebrations. The venue consists of two function rooms with French doors leading onto a private garden. The venue is suitable for between 50 to 100 guests, and offers five en-suite five star bedrooms, all beautifully decorated in period style with a contemporary twist, offering views across the moat to the golf course and surrounding parkland.

For larger celebrations, first hold a smaller ceremony in the Castle or Maiden’s Tower before inviting up to 200 evening guests to join you in the 17th century Fairfax Barn for dinner and dancing.

Perhaps one of the Castle’s most charming venues is the newly restored Battel Hall, voted the UK Wedding Awards ‘Newcomer’ Winner for 2019. Emerging from an extensive two-year restoration, Battel Hall has been meticulously refurbished and is a fine example of Kentish architecture of the middle ages. Whilst retaining its historical splendour, the venue embodies a modern luxury and classic, country-house style.

The oak-panelled dining room is perfect for intimate ceremonies and wedding breakfasts, whilst the drawing room and De Gournay room are ideal spaces for celebratory receptions. Upstairs, the five en-suite double bedrooms are all individually decorated and offer views across the private lawns.

A venue for all seasons, Battel Hall’s garden is an equally memorable space for your wedding celebrations at Leeds Castle, with the opportunity to say ‘I do’ under an old English Bower. Enjoy your first romantic walk as a married couple on the quiet meadows overlooking the Castle, before celebrating with your family and friends. Couples can even invite up to 100 guests to celebrate on the marquee terrace beside the enchanting wisteria vines that climb the walls.
