A Head Over Heels Blog Series by Josey Stafford

Here in Minnesota we are awfully lucky, because we have snow, at least until global warming kicks into full effect or the current ice age is officially over (whichever you believe is most true).

SNOW?

Seriously. Snow. It gives us breathtaking wedding photos and budget friendly venues (see off season rates) but it also makes us appreciate, like truly love, the four seasons.

And one place you can get married at that fully embraces those seasons? The Landing, part of the Three Rivers Park District, located in Shakopee. And while all of the Three Rivers Park wedding venues are dazzling and alfresco, we’ll focus on why The Landing is the place where you’ll want to say ‘I do’.

Before I mention the stone wall outdoor ceremony location (the ‘overlook’) and the free parking on site, let me paint a picture of you and your fiance on you wedding day. Picture enough space for your family friendly wedding to roam, everyone laughing and happy and frolicking about, picture riding up to your reception in a horse drawn carriage after taking just-married photos in the woods… yes please!

It’s completely possible at The Landing, because nestled within fields of green grass, forests filled with trees and wild flowers, is a rustic, outdoorsy venue that just won’t quit reminding you of how lovely and wonderful and romantic Minnesota is and The Landing can be, as your wedding venue.
