A man served White Castle at his wedding!
Those looking to plan a wedding on a budget may want to hear the story of Dale Bermis. The Illinois native was so addicted to White Castle burgers, he decided to serve them at his wedding, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Bermis is now being inducted into the White Castle Hall of Fame and spoke with the news source about the honor.
“We weren’t supposed to bring them in. But it was our wedding, and we were going to do what we wanted,” he told the news outlet. “It’s the perfect after-party food. So instead of sending everyone out for them, we brought them in.”
Bermis’ devotion to the fast food chain doesn’t end there. In fact, he told the news outlet that before his father passed away, he requested a few sliders from the restaurant. Also, he and his wife, who also is gaga for the cuisine, celebrate every Valentine’s Day under their roof.
With the average cost of a wedding now at an estimated $35,329, fast food companies have a cheaper alternative for couples willing to lower the bar.
