The Bachelorette

Rachel Lindsay became a huge fan favorite on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor, where her bright smile and laid-back southern charm landed her Nick’s first-impression rose. From then on, the Bachelor Nation has been undeniably supportive of this beautiful attorney from Dallas, Texas. Rachel got her heart broken after falling in love with Nick and being sent home. Rachel then had her chance as The Bachelorette to find her own soulmate!

ABC’s season 13 finale on Monday, August 7, finally revealed Rachel Lindsay’s mystery fiance! Bryan Abasolo, the final rose recipient, and the winner followed the well-known tradition by meeting with Neil Lane, and a consultation and selection of an engagement ring. In the final moments of Monday night’s episode, the Miami-based doctor dropped to one knee and proposed to Lindsay with a brilliant pear shape ring.

The 3-carat platinum ring is set within a halo of smaller diamonds and further accented with 80 round diamonds…. W O W. Lindsay had dropped hints about her fiancé, and her ring. “I just wanted bands. Just a stack of bands,” Lindsay said to USA Today at the Men Tell All taping last month. “And they said, ‘No, no, no, Neil Lane is not going to do that!’ So I said, ‘Okay, fine! I’ll pick a cut!’ And so I picked pear shape, which is something I really like and from there, ‘the one’ ran with it.”

During the time the show was airing, Rachel wore a thin gold band for public appearances and jokingly referred to her future husband as “Jerome” on social media. Rachel said goodbye to the other finalist, Peter Kraus, the day before the proposal to give her full attention to Abasolo. “I wanted that proposal to be all about Bryan,” Rachel says. “I wanted it to be our day. And I wanted him to be the focus.”

Very thoughtful, Bachelorette! The two plan to get married in late 2018-early 2019. They both want a winter wedding.
