Natalie and Graham are a speed dating success story, with three minutes mulling over the football changing their lives forever. “We’d both ticked the ‘yes’ box for each other, so we organised a date. Five years later, at the top of Grandfather Mountain in the USA, Graham proposed!”

This bride discovered her dream dress closer to home, but the search still took time.

“I’m extremely selective, so I’d tried on almost 100 dresses over 15 appointments before I found my Galina Signature dress at David’s Bridal!”

“So many dresses just didn’t wow me, so the statement my gown made, mixing vintage, modern, classic and sexy looks, was perfect. I had a big bow added to the back and adjusted the hem to finish with scalloped lace rather than tulle.”

A lace-edged, cathedral-length veil, also from David’s Bridal, alongside blush shoes by Betsey Johnson and a Victoria Millesime headpiece with bespoke matching earrings completed Natalie’s bridal look. “All my accessories had the same aesthetic as my dress. They were a little bit blingy, without being too in your face.”

Groom Graham sourced his grey suit from Impeccable, also buying black shoes there. A red tie and cufflinks by Carlo Bruno finished his look. “He was beaming when I walked down the aisle! I’d been so calm up until that point, but when I saw Graham I burst into tears and couldn’t take my eyes off him.”

Three bridesmaids attended Natalie, stepping down the aisle in dresses from the David’s Bridal eveningwear range.

“The bridesmaid dressess were a pink-peach tone, colour matched to the David Austin roses I’d chosen.”

“They had the most amazing pearl collars. These dresses were quirky enough to keep me interested, and the girls loved them too.”

The couple said “I do” in the Vine Room at Northbrook Park. “We loved the natural light and beautiful interior. Our ceremony began with a civil ceremony, stopping just before we exchanged rings, at which point we moved into a Jewish blessing. Celtic harpist, Lynda Hayes even learned some Hebrew songs.

We went a little bananas with the menu, choosing what would usually be a main course as a starter and adding in tasty twists the whole way.” Guests tucked into a fillet of sea bream to start, pan seared duck breast with a peanut flapjack for the main and dark chocolate mousse with raspberries, meringues, popping candy and salted caramel ice cream for dessert.

“Our wine came directly from vineyards in the Lot Valley.”

“We were there visiting Graham’s dad and step mother, so we did a wine tasting. There and then we chose a red, white and a rosé and drove all the bottles back!”

Natalie and Graham styled their red rustic wedding around all things autumnal… with a dramatic twist. “I run a small wedding blog, Bouquet Catch, so I’m obsessed with the tiny details of weddings. I wanted a wedding that no-one would have seen before.”

“I handmade and painted a lot of decorations myself, including a huge sign and apple crate wall.”

The bride wanted the flowers to be the focus of the décor, so she was delighted to finally find a florist who shared her vision, Hazel from Eden Blooms. “Graham chose our red and peach colour scheme and I knew I wanted autumnal touches, with moss, white pumpkins, red apples, bark and log slices. Hazel spent hours pouring over the tiniest details with us, making sure she met our venue’s regulations as well as our wishes.”

Six olive trees filled the ceremony room, interspersed with lanterns and apple crates overflowing with pumpkins and apples. There were also high and low table arrangements, but the statement piece was the apple crate wall, which stood behind the top table. “Hazel created an installation of crates for us, filled with apples, pumpkins, gold LEDs and flowers. It looked absolutely spectacular!”

The bride’s aunt, Jo Elijah-Sigston, created the wedding cake. “She made one Nutella tier with bark-effect frosting and one lemon and Limoncello tier. We also had cupcakes, including white chocolate and raspberry, pina colada and gluten-free options.”

“I couldn’t choose between cake or cheese either, so we had a cheese tower too, kindly made by Graham’s mum and step father.”

The couple hired DJ Ollie Moor from Farnham Sound & Light for the party, whose playlists fused Israeli dancing with old-school garage and even 90’s pop! “He also provided a black and white checkered dance floor, festoon lights and up-lighting to give the party extra atmosphere.” Natalie and Graham shared their first dance to ‘Daydreaming’ by Dark Dark Dark.

Bali, Lombok and Singapore beckoned for a three-week honeymoon of romance and adventure. The couple booked with Turquoise. “We do like lying on the beach, but we love to mix things up too, so it was perfect!”
