Tomorrow Is Not Guaranteed…

Thank you to Kate, a Head Over Heels reader, from our Orlando Perfect Wedding Guide market, who shared today’s Real Wedding, and her story of heartbreak and finding love again.

My wedding day on March 21, 2019, was a day that I wasn’t sure would ever come.

When I, Kate, was 24 years old, I married a great man and three weeks after our wedding, he died very suddenly of an undiagnosed heart condition and my world was turned upside down.

For years after, I wondered if I’d ever find a man to not only love me but also acknowledge and accept my rare past. To say that I’m grateful for my wedding day is an understatement.

Besides a couple of small mishaps, the day could not have been any better! From the amazing venue at Ballroom at Church Street, to our professional and creative photographers Patrick and Jonathan from Patrick Buckley Images, to the delicious cake from Sugar Sugar Cake Boutique, the gorgeous flowers from Flowers By Lesley, and the rocking music from our DJ Katie from Our DJ Rocks, everyone still tells us how much fun they had at our wedding.

And in addition, I was in love with my bridesmaids’ rose gold dresses from David’s Bridal and of course my own GORGEOUS Essence of Australia gown from One and Only Bridal!

But more than all of that, this day represents the reminder that God had a plan when I went through that heartbreak of being widowed six years ago. I not only got the wedding of my dreams with so many loved ones, but I get another chance to be a wife and to have a partner by my side.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed but two months later, I’m so grateful to have my husband Stephen by my side and for our wonderful families who have blended us to make one big happy family.

Thank you to our vendors and our guests for the most amazing day we could ever dream of having!

And to my love Stephen, thank you for choosing me to be your wife and for giving me my fairytale. Happy 10 weeks of marriage and here’s to the rest of forever 🙂
