Despite your big day being one of the only days in your life when everything is about you, keeping your guests happy is also essential. Here’s our guide on the best wedding entertainment has to offer, to leave your guests in awe of a truly memorable occasion.

The Ceremony

Let’s start with the ceremony. As the guests are waiting for the bride to arrive, it can often feel a little tense and stuffy, so some live musical entertainment can really help lift the mood, lighten the atmosphere and set the tone for the rest of the day.

Why not try using a choir to keep the vibes positive and really add the WOW factor, or, for a more classy approach, let a enchaining harpist or string quartet play whilst your guests are waiting on your arrival. If you’re having a more intimate affair, we suggest a single acoustic guitarist and singer to create a romantic ambience.

The Drinks Reception

You’ve spent a lot of time and money scrubbing up to look the best you ever have and you’ll want the pictures to prove it. But who’s going to get the party started and look after your guests whilst you’re not there?

Cue some super wedding entertainment options to the rescue. Humour your guests by hiring a caricaturist, who will not only make your guests laugh, but also would provide a great memento for your guests to take away.

Another way to keep your guests busy is by getting a jazzy saxophonist to get their feet tapping and hips swaying. Or if you’re thinking more Dynamo than disco, hire a professional and contemporary magician to leave your guests shocked and amazed.

Wedding Breakfast

You may think that the food and speeches are entertainment enough during your wedding breakfast. But if you have a nervous groom who hates public speaking, or you’re worried about the table plan and whether your guests will get on, then the right entertainment can be a huge help.

Hire some comedy lookalikes: there’e lots of options here from Del Boy to David Brent and they can include interrupting and helping with the speeches to stand up comedy routines. For a real show stopper, surprise your guests with singing waiters that will produce both laughter and tears. Or keeping with a musical theme, hire a pianist to provide the perfect backdrop to proceedings.

Evening Reception warble-entertainment-evening-video

This is a really important part of the day. Not only is it a chance for everyone to let their hair down, it’s also the time when you’ll have the most amount of guests and also the last thing everyone will remember from your big day.

Why not try a live band to provide energy, a focal point and have your guests throwing shapes they didn’t know existed. Keep the drinks flowing in an imaginative way by getting an ice luge; it will also provide the perfect photo opportunity and be a great talking point. Or to heat up the party, put on a fire show to amaze your guests with this fantastic alternative to fireworks.
