What to Put on Your Registry…

When it comes time to register, it can be a super exciting experience or the complete opposite. Maybe you already have everything you need for a home, or you’re completely starting out and don’t even have a single spoon to your name. That’s okay!

Registering is one of the simple joys of wedding planning as you scan the things you need, and maybe things you don’t need. There is a fine line between those two categories. Here’s a tips and lists to help you determine what items you need to register for.The first thing you need to think of are the basics like bedding, cookware, drinkware, dishes, dinnerware etc.

After you pick all of those things out, try to think of a color scheme or an overall theme for each room of your house. If you hate the color purple, then you probably shouldn’t register for purple bedding and towels for your bathroom. Try to make it fit your style as a couple since you both are going to be the ones living with it.

After the basics are done, it’s time to start thinking about the thing you use every day that you don’t want to forget! It’s a good idea to take a list with you, so you don’t forget anything.

Think of the kitchen appliances you grew up with or know how to use. If you never use a blender and don’t plan on using a blender anytime soon, then it’s a good idea to not register for one! If you use a conventional oven quite often, make sure to get one!
