Natalie and Alex’s Real Wedding was shared with us by their wedding photographer Aram Event Photography from Miami. Here’s their story in Natalie’s own words:

bride and groom - Armenian wedding - blush, burgundy and champagne reception - bride and groom on dance floor

Alex and I traveled to Greece in the summer of 2017 with our family and in Oia, Santorini (saved the best island for the proposal) is where Alex popped the big question, we were walking around and exploring the island all day and as soon as the sun was setting, in front of our family and a huge crowd of people, as we were getting our pictures taken in front of such a magical sunset is where Alex got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

Just thinking about it makes me smile because my reaction was the best. I looked at him and said, “are you joking????” It was such a special moment filled with so many emotions.

Shortly after we got engaged, we started planning our wedding and right away I knew I wanted a December/winter wedding. I fell in love with the champagne, blush, and burgundy colors and that’s exactly what I went for. I wanted an elegance to it. All of the colors that were used were ones that I’ve always loved and envisioned them together was very easy to do so I knew that was it.

As far as my dress, I knew I didn’t want to wear all white, I knew I wanted a ball gown, something that had a lot of detail but yet kept its simplicity which is what I found in my stunning ivory dress.

I also wore a cathedral veil with it which really made my entire wedding look. My maid of honor wore blush and my bridesmaids wore biscotti, the mix of our colors was a great contrast.

When they say it flies by so enjoy the planning and especially the day, it’s true. The day quickly approached and by the end of the night, I couldn’t believe it was already over.

It was the time of my life, filled with so much love, happiness, and dancing. As Armenians, we had all of our traditional songs and instruments and our entrance as bride and groom was also traditional and very memorable.

Some advice that I can give to a future bride and groom that are in the middle of planning is that it’s going to get stressful and there is so much to do but don’t let that ever take you away from the big picture.

Remind yourself that this is a celebration of your love and your union and as long as the two of you are enjoying yourselves, everyone that is there with you is going to enjoy the day as well.

I personally would relive my entire wedding day if I could, everything fell together perfectly, I couldn’t have asked for more
