Getting married at a park can be one of the best decisions you ever make. Booking a Minnesota garden or pavilion as your ceremony site means your guests will be forced to enjoy the great outdoors and your pictures are going to be amazing. When venturing outside for your nuptials, a venue like Silverwood Park offers the perfect space for doing so, without feeling like your wedding has lost all of its romance… #squirrel!

Silverwood Park is home to fields of grass, a small island in the center of Silver Lake and a lot of space for your guests to explore, inside and out. Some of the things that make this venue so successful as your Minnesota ceremony site can’t be found anywhere else.

The beautiful and unique Great Hall at Silverwood Park features a cathedral-style ceiling and large glass windows overlooking Silver Lake. The facility includes an adjacent patio area for ceremonies and an outdoor fireplace and welcoming landscape.

Having a covered and enclosed area, with wheel chair accessible bathrooms and a catering kitchen can really elevate your wedding to the next level. Guests feel well taken care of from the moment they park, free parking, to the end of the night when the late night snack food truck arrives. Ample space for dancing, a photo booth, and all of the decor items you want to incorporate. Plus a loading dock makes vendors gush about how easy set up is going to be for your wedding.

Outdoor Ceremony Space
Not just one spot for your ceremony, but multiple. All dependent on the feel of your wedding, the flow of your day and the size of your party. There’s the amphitheater, perfectly poised for a dramatic entrance walking down the stairs. Or how about getting married on an island? Guests trek to the ceremony site using the wooden bridge. Having a more intimate wedding ceremony? Use the patio area right outside of the Great Hall and get married in front of a fireplace with a mantle covered in florals.

Safe, Friendly, and Eco-conscious
Silverwood is part of the Three Rivers Park district meaning it also is a zero-waste facility. Talk about getting married the right way, with compostable silverware and bamboo plates! Also regular dishes are acceptable, you know the kind that get washed and not tossed, but how much fun is it to have compostable caterware!

Check out Self-eco and their premium line of eco-friendly drinkware, cutlery and funky plates that make it easier on your guests to mill through the buffet line. The nice thing about SIlverwood is they’ve already narrowed down a list of vendors that abide by the zero-waste facility policy, they have a catering list and a preferred vendor list. Making your wedding planning process that much easier.

Certainly one of the best features of Silverwood is the fireplace, perfect for smores roasting or just resting, after you’ve been married and right before you dance the night away.
